Exact dates for the exams have not been announced by the agency and will be released soon. Usually, the UGC-NET exam is held twice a year. However, this time the exam schedule was disrupted due to the Covid pandemic and so the UGC decided to combine the two test cycles and keep them together.
UGC NET December 2021, June 2022: how to apply
Step 1: Visit the official website, ntanet.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the link ‘UGC NET Registration December 2021/June 2022’
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page
Step 4: Fill in your personal data and register
Step 5: Log in using the newly created registration number
Step 6: Fill out the form, upload images and upload
Step 7: Make payment
The application window will remain open from April 30 to May 30 until 5 p.m. Applicants will be able to make payment without late fees until 11:50 p.m. on May 20. The correction window for applicants to make changes to their application form will be available from 21 to 23 May.
“The JRF slots from the December 2021 and June 2022 UGC-NET cycles have been merged while the JRF allocation methodology by subject and category remains unchanged,” the NTA said in an official statement.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) examination is conducted annually by UGC to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for eligibility for the position of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Universities and Colleges indians.
