Savitribai Phule Pune University extends the deadline for submitting application forms – check details

In what might be a relief to several applicants, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has allowed the submission of application forms until July 17, 2022 but with a late fee. The deadline to submit the application fee was July 12, 2022 for admissions into Graduation, Post-Graduation, Interdisciplinary and Integrated programs. The university had already launched the application procedure in June for the 2022-23 academic year. The SPPU has announced that this year the application process will be online. It should be noted that applicants can find the details by department and program on the official website

Students applying to various programs at the university will be admitted on the basis of an entrance examination which will take place on July 21, 2022 and July 24, 2022. In addition, the entire admissions process, from application to the examination and the entrance examination, will be conducted online. Applicants may not have to visit the campus.

The exam will last two hours. This will consist of two sections – Section A and Section B. Section A will have General Knowledge, Skills, Logic and Comprehension. Similarly, Section B will be topic-focused. The weight of the two sections will be 20 points and 80 points, respectively.

Importantly, while admission forms for regular programs are only available at university departments, forms for open and distance learning programs are not available so far. Previously, the university had issued a call for applications for 2,500 places. She was expecting nearly 30,000 applications for the same purpose.

The university has asked interested applicants to complete online application forms after registering on the Common Campus Entrance Examination (CCEP) platform. This portal was created for the same purpose between June 15, 2022 and June 17, 2022.

“Once the admissions department reviews the applications, venue tickets and other details will be sent to applicants via email,” the Indian Express said, quoting Sanjeev Sonawanale, Vice Chancellor Pro, SPPU .
