The university in a statement said the new feature is available on the applicant dashboard as well as the admissions website and will help applicants for university admission.

The University of Delhi has added a new tab on its admissions website to provide instant real-time data and information on the college programs and preferences applicants are opting for. The new ‘College-program sage preferences count’ tab will help applicants see how many aspirants opted for a particular program at a college.

The tab also indicates that the data is updated every two hours. The university in a statement said the new feature is available on the applicant dashboard as well as the admissions website and will help applicants for university admission. University officials have also raised concerns that applicants are not adequately optimizing the available preference provisions offered to them by the university. “While providing preferences, applicants opt for far fewer choices despite being eligible for many such choices. For example, if an applicant has been assigned 1469 programs and college preferences by the university, he must select all the combinations to get the maximum benefit from the allocation rounds,” the statement said.

On September 26, the university began the second phase of the admissions process for undergraduate programs to allow applicants to choose their program and college combination preferences. Phase I, which started on September 12, and Phase II will remain open until October 10. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results will also be required in both phases.

“It should be noted that Phase I and Phase II of the Common Seating Allocation System (CSAS) will automatically lock in preferences registered by the candidate on October 10, 2022 at 4:59 p.m.,” the university said. The university last month launched an online platform to apply for admission through CSAS-2022.

The admissions process, which began on September 12, involves three phases: the first phase is to apply to the university, the second phase is the filling of preferences and the third phase is the allocation of seats with admission. .
