MPPSC State Forest Service Exam 2022: application process begins; check the eligibility criteria


The Madhya Pradesh Civil Service Commission, State Forestry Service (MPPSC SFS) 2022 pre-exam registration portal is now open. Applicants can fill out the application form for the positions of Deputy Conservator of Forests, Ranger and Project Manager, through the official website, until February 9, 2022.

Candidates can apply for either the post of assistant forest conservator or forest ranger; or they can apply for both, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. The exam will take place on April 24, 2022.

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering are eligible for the exam. In addition, the minimum age to apply is 21, and all applicants applying for the post of Assistant. forest conservator must not be more than 40 years old. For the posts of forest ranger and project manager, the maximum age limit is 33 years; for female candidates, veterans and candidates belonging to the reserved category, the upper age limit is 38 years.

The application fee for applicants belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) is Rs 250; applicants belonging to other categories and non-residents of Madhya Pradesh will have to pay Rs 500 as an application fee. All applicants will also have to pay an additional Rs 40 as a portal fee.

Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for the MPPSC SFS preliminary exam:

Step 2: Applicants can find the “Apply Online” tab in the lower right corner.

Step 3: Now click on the available “Link” option corresponding to the SFS exam. This will take applicants to a new page.

Step 4: Click on the “Know Your Request Number” tab and complete the request form.

Step 5: Applicants must upload their self-certified passport size photo.

Step 6: Then click on the button “Proceed to payment” and submit

Applicants can correct any errors in the application form from January 15, 2022 to February 11, 2022. To make corrections in the application form, applicants will need to pay Rs 50. The admission card will be available on the official website, at from April. 15, 2022.

The MPPSC SFS preliminary exam is a screening test consisting of 2 papers – Paper I (General Studies) and Paper-II (General Aptitude). So far MPPSC SFS program is concerned, in article I questions are asked about history, geography, Indian constitution, science and technology, current affairs, information technology and communication and constitutional bodies of India.

Paper-II covers issues of comprehension, communication skills, logical reasoning, basic mathematics, general mental ability, decision making and problem solving. All questions are objective and the answers should be noted on the OMR sheet provided to applicants. The exam can be taken in English or Hindi. Applicants can build their preparation strategy around the curriculum and exam template provided.

Candidates qualified for the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for the main exam, which is computerized. Registration for the main exam will have to be done separately by paying the registration fee and the portal fee. The questions of the main examination are of the MCQ type, without negative marking.

Qualified candidates will be called for the interview conducted by the MPPSC. Following this, a physical fitness test and medical examination will also be performed. The final merit list will be prepared taking into account the candidates’ scores for the main examination and the interview.
