REPORTS

MALICIOUS INJURIES, 2022-05220056, block 4200 of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:09 a.m. on May 22, police were dispatched to report an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigation determined that the victim was outside a facility when he was approached by a group of three to four male suspects, during which the suspects allegedly sprayed him with what was believed be pepper spray. The victim screamed for help and the suspects fled before police arrived. There are no suspicious descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS INJURY, 2022-05200130, 500 block of N. Quincy St. At around 12:00 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to report an attempted malicious injury. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who said he saw a suspicious man looking into vehicles and confronted him about trespassing on private property. The suspect then entered a vehicle that was later determined to be stolen from Fairfax County, fled at high speed and allegedly drove towards the victim, narrowly missing him. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, around 25 years old, wearing a black baseball cap, a long gold chain necklace with a cross, a black shirt, ripped jeans and a bandana-style face mask . The investigation is ongoing.

FLIGHT (late), 2022-05220064 S. Four Mile Run Drive to Columbia Pike. At around 5:19 a.m. on May 22, police were dispatched to a late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers met the victim who said he was in Annandale, Virginia when he met the two unknown male suspects, who offered to drive him home. The suspects drove to the S. Four Mile Run Drive area of ​​Columbia Pike, parked the vehicle, and walked down a path with the victim. Suspect One then allegedly punched the victim in the face, while Suspect Two brandished a machete and threatened him, before reaching into his pockets and stealing his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then left the scene and fled in their vehicle. The victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by medics. Suspect one is described as a bearded Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, wearing a white cap and black shorts. Suspect 2 is described as a Hispanic male with short black hair, approximately 27 years old with neck tattoos, wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans. There was about an hour delay in reporting the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

FLIGHT, 2022-05200239, block 1300 of Crystal Drive. At around 8:46 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to report a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when the unknown suspect excited a vehicle, approached the victim and stole her purse. The suspect then entered the vehicle, described as a silver SUV, and drove away. The victim suffered minor injuries and refused treatment from doctors. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black pants and a black mask. The investigation is ongoing.

FLIGHT (late), 2022-05220091, block 300 of Columbia Pike. At around 11:25 a.m. on May 22, police responded to a late report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 12:15 a.m. the victim was walking in the area when she was pushed from behind by the unknown male suspect. The victim fell to the ground, during which the suspect reached into his pockets and stole his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim suffered no injuries and did not require medical treatment. There is no suspicious description. The investigation is ongoing.

ILLEGAL ENTRY, 2022-05200025, 1500 block of S. George Mason Drive. At around 1:30 a.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to report a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she woke up to a noise. The victim went to investigate and observed the unknown male suspect inside his residence. He then fled on foot. No items were reported damaged or stolen. The suspect is described as a male of unknown race wearing a purple shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLAR (late), 2022-05210199, 1700 block of Arlington Blvd. At approximately 6:57 p.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to a late report of a break and enter. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 10:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., the unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s secure residence and stole electronic devices, credit cards, and personal effects. There is no description of suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.

HEIST, 2022-05220013, 6100 block of Wilson Blvd. At around 12:38 p.m. on May 22, police were dispatched to report a burglary that had just been discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had returned home to find his door unlocked and slightly ajar. Valuables including electronics and clothing were reported stolen. There is no description of suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.

MISSILE IN AN OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2022-05200153 700 Block S. Florida Street. At approximately 1:36 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to report an act of vandalism. Upon arrival, it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) threw a rock through the window of an occupied residence, causing the window to burst. No injuries were reported. There is no description of suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.
