The University of Delhi (DU) is launching its online undergraduate program admissions through the CSAS admission portal. According to the Indian Express, registration for admission begins today, September 12 and ends on October 3. Students can register on the official website, admission.uod.ac.into submit an application to DU.

“We will keep the admission portal open for 21 days. The portal will close on the evening of October 3. We will start our advice after that,” said the senior official quoted by The Indian Express in its report.

What is the CSAS Portal?

The University of Delhi (DU) has launched CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) portal for admission for the 2022-23 academic year. The new DU admissions process will take place in three phases through the CSAS portal. According to the official DU website, the details of the three phases are as follows:

(i) Firstly, intercalated applicants for undergraduate programs will need to apply through the Common Seating System (CSAS) application form available on the Common Portal. Then they will have to make a one-time payment (non-refundable)

(ii) In the second phase, if the candidate is eligible for the program she wants, she will be able to select the combinations of programs and colleges she prefers.

(iii) The third phase of admission is the allocation of seats, which will take place in several rounds. Once the merit list has been declared, the candidate will have to check the assigned place and college on the Common Admissions Portal.

How to register on the portal – Steps to follow:

Here are the steps for registration and registration on the DU website.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the University of Delhi (DU) – admission.uod.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the link that reads Undergraduate Program Admission.

Step 3: Register on the website using the required information.

Step 4: Enter all required personal and educational details, and upload grade sheets, photographs and signature.

Step 5: Submit the registration fee through the given online portals.

Step 6: Download the confirmation of application and save it for future reference.

This year, DU is supposed to admit students based on their performance on the Common University Entrance Test or CUET-UG. The Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Mr Jagadesh Kumar, said the National Testing Agency aims to publish the results of CUET-UG by September 15.
