The University Grants Commission (UGC) after announcing that the UGC has decided to make the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) compulsory for admission to universities, which can be given in 13 different languages.
UGC issued a notice on March 21 that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into UG programs starting from the 2022-2023 academic session in all Central Universities funded by UGC will be held in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting undergraduate entrance tests for all Central Universities (CUs) for the 2022-2023 academic session. CUET (UG) – 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Online application forms for undergraduate programs will be open from 02.04.2022, the corresponding link will be made available on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.
The application will be open from April 2 to April 30.
Exam Structure for CUET (UG) – 2022:
CUET (UG) – 2022 will consist of the following 4 sections:
Section IA – 13 languages
Section IB – 19 languages
Section II – 27 domain-specific topics
Section III – General Test
A candidate can choose a maximum of 3 languages from section IA and section IB taken together (the third language chosen must replace the subject-specific subjects).
Section II offers 27 subjects, from which a candidate can choose a maximum of 6 subjects.
Section III includes the general test.
To choose the languages (up to 3) of sections IA and IB and a maximum of 6 subjects of section II and the general test of section III, the candidate must refer to the requirements of his university of intention.
Level of questions for CUET (UG)-2022:
All questions in various test areas will be assessed at the Class XII level only. Students
having studied the Class XII counseling program would be able to do well in CUET (UG) – 2022.
Number of Attempts:
If a university allows students from previous years in Class XII to also be admitted in the current year, those students would also be eligible to appear in CUET(UG)-2022.
Choice of languages and subjects:
Generally, the languages/subjects chosen should be those that a student chose in their last Class Council XII exam. However, if a university allows some flexibility in this regard, the same can also be exercised under CUET(UG)-2022. Applicants should carefully refer to the eligibility requirements of the various Central Universities in this regard.
